6and6 in 2018 Progress - August

It's time to report on my challenge progress.  Not much got done in August.  It was a month too full of summer. I quilted a baby quilt from a top my mom made.

I made two blocks for a new project I started earlier in the year (Meadow by Jen Kingwell)
  and

I also quilted another for mom:

This is a preemie quilt.

I didn't even pull out the UFO designated for the month.  So that's it for August goals.

I'm not sure I'll do much better in September as I"m going away for a quilt retreat in Missouri and have babysitting duty each weekday hence.  I"m looking forward to it. My ufo to work on in September is #9.  I have to assemble the quilt top and add two borders. All the blocks are done.

Thatis it for reporting on August. Do visit Meredithe and Anne's 6and6in2018  and also Judy's UFO challenge - both to which I'm linking.  Blessings!

June in Review

Lots of family stuff going on, so it was a month with little sewing. Here's what I did get done:
1.  Finished my blocks for Unit 6 of Sweet Land of Liberty
Embellishments of words in tree block and stars on checkerboard left to do.

2. Made some maze blocks, embroidered a bear block and mitered a border to finish a neonatal quilt.

3.  Finally after years, got these log cabin blocks into a quilt top.

And that's about it.  July probably won't be much different as I'm going to Washington state last week of July, and I'll be baby sitting quite a bit earlier in the month - all fun. So for my challenges - didn't work on my UFOs and moved along on my NSO (newly started object).  How about you?

I'm linking to Can I get a Whoop, Whoop? and Oh Scrap. Also Judy's June UFO and 6 and 6 in 2018

Jan UFO

More than half way!
Judy of Patchworktimes.com has pick #1 as our February challenge and since I was so close to finishing this one, I went ahead and put it on my 2018 list as #1.  Well after I posted the list, I snuck in some sewing time and finished all the blocks, then forgot to take it off my list.

I am done with that one for now.  I'm saving them for July when I have my Christmas in July sewing month.  Here's what I wrote:

1.  Finish making the blocks of this scrap log cabin. Twelve to go if I have enough fabric.  If not, then I'll have to think of a new layout.

I had enough fabric.

I think I'll continue with the January UFO which got sandwiched and more than half way quilted.
I even figured out what I'm going to do for a binding. I'm bound and determined to finish this one in Feb.

Life is good!
Blessings,

WIP/UFO, 6 & 6 Challenge List for 2018

I've linked again to Judy's UFO Challenge for 2018.  Needed to make a list of 12 WIPs of anything crafty. And I'm doing Meredithe's and Anne's 6 & 6 in 2018 also.  I'm going to use 6 old ones from the list for Judy's challenge for the 6 & 6.  The odd months on this later one is for a new project - I've decided to make My Small World by Jen Kingwell.  It's a gorgeous wall hanging.
