Some of This; Some of That

All I used this week was from the stash was 1/4 yd for the binding of that baby quilt. That brings my YTD total to  72.29 yds destashed.

I started quilting another baby quilt - This one I made in August, showed it at guild,
and then promptly forgot all about it as I left it in my meeting bag and never took it out. This scrappy baby quilt is so busy, I"m not trying to do much to the front. Above is the back. Just about done with the center of it.  Also I did finish my scrappy medallion baby quilt.
I used about a 1/4th of a good size trash bag of scraps for this one, so that was good.  So many scraps! Sigh.

Think tomorrow I'll just sit down in the living room and hand stitch on my hexies and applique. Would be nice to  get my circle done already.

RSC 2015

I've seen many an entry through the years for this challenge at Angela's.  I've decided to give it a try, not to make the sampler, but just as a focus of using up some scraps and where to start.  This month's color is orange.
I really didn't have many scraps in my scrap bin of orange and I'm determined not to pull from the stash as that will only make more scraps. I found enough to just squeeze out four 6 1/2" stars. As I'm not making the sampler, I'll see what I can come up with  these and the one more I have to make as a baby quilt.  That star surround by orange is made up of a piece of Liberty Fabric I found in my scrap bin.  It is so, so soft. I'm linking to Angela's RSC 2015.  Come see all the other orange blocks there.  My linky for WIPs Be Gone is still open. Come on over and link your progress - even an old finish will do.

Design Wall Monday 4/18/11

I'm shortening curtains so all that's on my design wall is the scrap blocks that developed from my playing with a technique similar to one in Ms Solomon's book (see previous post to see what I'm talking about).  I learned that this version is good but doesn't work well with big novelty fabrics but will probably work well with  prints or directional fabric.  I have to try those next.  Here they are:

Be sure to go to Judy's PatchworkTimes on the left side bar to see what others are doing right now.

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
