Some of This; Some of That 7/26/20

Let's do the stash report first.  Used a yard adding borders to my crab quilt, making binding for the UFO I finished quilting, and making an Arrow Rock Sampler block. YTD total is now 15.6 yds. Here's the sample blockon my design wall:
Three more to go.

And here are the crabs with the added borders:
It's in the "to be quilted pile".

Was better this week about my 15 Minutes to Stitch.  Only 1 day did I not reach my goal, so that gives me a 86%  for the week.  Much better than that 57% of last week.

That's pretty much it.  I'll be linking to Sunday Stash15 Minutes to Stitch, and Design Wall Monday.  See you there.

Some of This; Some of That - 6/21/20

Hello, a day late but here I am now.  Keeping busy as usual.  I mailed a signature block to a friend who is collecting them - I forgot to take a photo.  Also made a block for the Facebook group - Quilt Block Lottery - took the place of Block Lotto.  Here's the June Block:

Finished Month One blocks of the Arrow Rock Sampler.
Month Two arrived and I've started the first block - will have to make 5 this month.

Figured out how I want to lay out my crab quilt.  Here's the first row I made:
I worked on my secret project also, and finally started quilting the border of that UFO. I might have it done by the next post - that would be great!

As to 15 Minutes to Stitch:
15 minute days/week = 3/7 days
15 minute days/June = 16/20 days
15 minute days/2020 = 145/171 days
Success rate = 84.79%

And for destashing used 0.3 yd for those blocks - all scraps which gives me a YTD total of 12.86 yds .

What have you been up to?  Leave me a comment and I'll come by and see.  Linking to Design Wall Monday, Sunday Stash Report, and 15 Minutes to Stitch.   Blessings to you all. Please wear a mask and stay safe.

Stash on Design Wall

At last I have time to post a stash report.  While I didn't get much quilting done in the three weeks of getting ready for company and the company, I did try to squeeze in a few minutes a day - sometimes as much as 15 - more like 5 most days, so here is what I have to report:
Yards         For
.25             binding of a VA quilt.
3.50             of donated fabric to the guild
.25             to finish charity quilt squares
.13             for centers for same quilt
.34             for border for landscape quilt
.25             for back of same landscape
  .13             for binding the landscape
1.56              for Nadine's quilt top
.25             of scraps for Holiday quiltlet
.25             for backing of said quiltlet    giving me a grand total of

6.91 yards!   Woohoo! - not bad since my last stash report of 9/30/13.
Here are my numbers:
in 0.0 yds.; out 6.91 yds.
Stash in YTD: in 9.0 yds., out 107.08 yds.
Donated YTD: 51.26 yds
Net for 2013: out 104.99 yds

Now I'd like to humbly ask for your help.  A group I belong to has two yard sales twice a year to raise money for our local food pantry. One of the coordinators gave me a quilt top as they know I am a quilter - none of the other six are that was donated to the group. Anyway - here it is - measures around 72 by 82":

The back of the top is lined with flannel - looks like they added the flannel before they put the squares together - maybe to stabilize the squares (?).  Most of the fabric looks and feels like cotton - some maybe feed sacks.  My questions are:  Would you look at the following photos and guess what decade these are from?  Also I want to use these to put together a quilt from that decade so could you also suggest a quilt block to use.  Your comments will be greatly appreciated!

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
