Fabric Tuesday Wow

I've been working on quilting 20 squares in a 72 x 90 quilt for my daughter in law since January.  Participating in the 2012 FMQ Challenge and the FMQ Project has given me the patterns to use in the square.  Well, DDIL's birthday has come around and I finished it , handed it off to my Mom, she bound it and we gave it to her last Sunday.  This is the biggest quilt I've quilted on my domestic sewing machine.

Thank you Leah Day, Becky Goldsmith and others for the inspiration to try this.
I'm linking to the FMQ Project, the 2012 FMQ Challenge, Connie's FreeMotionby the River, and Esther's WOW. Go see all the goodies there.

2012 FMQ Challenge

Here's my July 2012 FMQ Challenge piece.  Thanks Angela and SewCalGal for a great tutorial and design.  I'm going to be using this one again.
If you're wondering why that Ralph's lettering is in there, it's because I'm doing the squares to a t-shirt quilt as my practice squares.  I'm off to link up with SewCalGal's 2012 FMQ Challenge.

FMQ Challenge/Project

Phew, got it done on the last day - my FMQ Challenge/Project ( I'm using my challenge project to also fill Leah's project as my days have been thrown out of wonk with my surgery earlier in the month) done for June!  I'm very pleased to say every bit of it was done by free motion.  I can hardly believe it my self - no markers, pencil, freezer paper or tissue paper or templates.  Thank you SewCalGal and Leah for motivating us with the great tutorials and to practice, practice, practice!  I'm linking at both of their blogs. Check out the great work done by others.

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
