Sunday Stash Report

Made five blocks this past week which used .14 of a yard. Pulled a yard for an inner border on my RSC challenge quilt.  The 1.14 yds brings my YTD destashed to 64.20 yds.

I'm still working on that Anna's Garden block - it will continue to be my Sunday Slow Stitching.

And since I had all my applique paraphernalia out, I decided to work on my eagle block (another WIP to get done). I'm not happy with his head - can't get nice sharp points for his feathers and the copy lines show around the edges - think I'll try another method.

I'm linking to quiltpaintcreate's Sunday Stash and Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching.
Have you been destashing?

  1. A good week for you. Years ago I used freezer paper and starch to tun my edges, but now I use freezer paper and hand basting. I took the Craftsy class with Mimi Dietrich and it was worth every cent. My quilt group was surprised by how much it improved my applique. Maybe she has a book you could check out at the library.

  2. A good week for you on your projects. I lost ground on destashing this week - have used about 2.5 yds, but in looking for sashing fabrics for my BOM for next year I bought a few pieces for the scrappy backgrounds that I love to use in my quilts. I haven't done that in a while tho so I don't feel bad because I know I'll be using them in planned quilts.
