Halfway to a Finish and a Giveaway

Got distracted.  Ran across a new to me video from Jenny Doan for a Disappearing pinwheel that becomes a whirligig block.  Had to try it, so now I have two finished blocks.
She made hers with the same background layer cake and another print layer cake.  I can see why the background needs to be the same.  Will probably make two more, sash them and use for the center of a baby quilt.  I've ordered a white layer cake.  Maybe I'll cut some of my many floral fabrics into 10" squares and try it Jenny's way.  Makes a lovely quilt and from those two layer cakes one get two quilts.  How neat is that! (as Jenny is always saying, lol)

My half way to a finish is the quilting on that isolette.
Trying out quilting lines on the diagonal with a little meandering FMQ.  Saw it on someone's blog - but can't find it again. Gesh!.
