Stash Report 5/4/13

Essentially, nothing in and nothing out. I just used a few scraps from my stash to work on the applique blocks(probably about .01 yards). My numbers are almost the same as last week:
in 3.5 yds.; out .01 yds.
Stash YTD: in 6.5 yds., out 38.22 yds.
Donated YTD: 16.34 yds
Net for 2013: out 31.72 yds.

So here are some photos of  flowers in bloom around my yard.

Were you able to de-stash?  Let's go over to Judy's Patchwork Times and check out the posting there.

It's Hexie Friday!

Billie and I are having  a Quilt Along (or should I say sew along as this is a long time sewing project). And you're invited to join us.  We both have hexie projects started.  To keep us moving forward, we're going to share our progress (probably slow on my part) on Fridays.  You can see my first venture into "Hexidom" here .  This is as far as I've gotten so far:
Five more to sew on and I'll be done with my first flower - 26 to go!

Billie has a beautiful pattern she is working on. It's called Star Flower. Please visit her Friday post to see it.  And she's having a giveaway!

Do you have a hexie project? I'd love to see it! Tell me about it in a comment.

Applique Thursday

Have started on my next Forget Me Not block - have a way's to go:

I'm wondering if you can guess which flower this is. Those who are making this BOM will know right away.

The winner from last week's giveaway of Frayed Edge Fun is  Desert Sky Quilts. I've sent her an email.

This week's book has some applique but is mostly easy piecing.
To win this copy, all you need to do is comment or link to have a chance for it to be yours. Or do both and have two chances. And for extra chances, tell your friends about this giveaway. If they comment or link and mention you in their comment, you'll automatically get another entry in this giveaway. Submissions end Wednesday night. Use the blue link below. And remember, it doesn't have to be applique (that you share that is) - all sorts of eye candy is eligible and very welcome - even projects you finished a while ago - it's all new to me.
I'm linking to Pat Sloan's Show and Tell - meet me there! And good luck on both giveaways.

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
