Some of This; Some of That

For the Raceway quilt, two blocks and a tiny bit for SLOL, I used up 1.43 yds toward my goal. Going through a closet drawer, I pulled out for the guild four more yards. So my new YTD total is 61.70 yds destashed out of the 72 yards I need at this time to meet my year-end goal.

I added my newly finished row to my SLOL and that's what's on my design wall right now.  If I finish the border blocks, I'll have completed this top in the coming month. I'll see.

The lighting could be better.
The size of my quilts is constricted by the dimensions where I can hang them.  That's why my version will not be as big as others doing the quilt along. But I like it so far as my first primitive quilt.

I'm linking to Oh, Scrap and Sunday Stash, Design Wall Monday, Moving it Forward, and others.  Check them out.

  6. Great destashing! What I like about your SLOL is how uncluttered it looks. Mine will never look so clean and fresh. I like the way yours looks.

  7. I really like the changes you have made to this quilt design to make it your own. It's coming together very nicely. I'm glad you decided to keep one of the snail's trail blocks. It adds movement and directs my eye around the quilt.
