First the stash report. Made 2 baby quilt tops and found a backing for them. Used .25 for binding one of them. Used .10 for bias for Love entwined and .15 for SLOL, so that's 3.70 yards out this week. This gives me a YTD total of 16.37 yds. Closer still to the 20 yds out I need to meet my goal.
Here's my progress on Love Entwined:
Doesn't look like much for 3 days of work. Those 3/32nd bias stems take a while to make. Biggest are 1/8th. But I'm done with that part of the bouquet, and I was able to add the hearts. Now to add the vase, then the flowers.
I also got a bit done on SLOL.
Here it is on my design floor as this is much bigger than I thought. I'll have to see if I'm going to make all of it. It's already 50" wide.
Off to hand applique some more on my Anna's Garden block. Hope you got to quilt today. I'm linking to Oh Scrap, Sunday Stash, Slow Sunday Stitching, BOMs Away, Design Wall Monday and a couple of others. You can check my tab under more in the header to see who else.
Have a wonderful week.

Hello! My name is Angie and I love to quilt, read and garden. Come February 28th, 2014, I will have been blogging for 5 years. I can...
Love Entwined is a beautiful quilt. I don't know if I would have the patience to make it though. This is going to be so lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour applique is beautiful, but those sure are some small stems. Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteThat Love Entwined quilt is going to be gorgeous! Can hardly wait to see it finished. Definitely a labor of love.
ReplyDelete1/8th inch stems is just mind boggling! Love Entwined is going to be fabulous when done.
ReplyDeleteWow Angie, those are skinny as stems. Well done. I know how much work you have put into them. You're making great progress. I'm too scared to measure my stash, although I did my batiks. Around 50 yards lol.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of work! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove entwined is such an intense and busy quilt. Do you like busy quilts? I was wondering because Sweet Land of Liberty is as well. I am trying to decide how to assemble mine with a little less busyness, but I am truly loving it! Yours is so so so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am Deana visiting from https://dreamworthyquilts.blogspot.com/ and am currently logged into a different google account.
What wonderful things you are stitching. Great stash report, too! It is satisfying to see things going out, isn't it? I really like that second project and I'm going to have to look that up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous block for Love Entwined. I don't envy you the work on very small pieces. I love applique but am not inclined to do it. That is going to make a lovely quilt, and I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteLots of good numbers for your stash. Your applique looks beautiful. I can tell it's one of your favorite techniques, right? I like applique, but tiny pieces are not my cup of tea these days.
ReplyDeleteThose are tiny stems! Your Love Entwined will be so pretty
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful works of art! Your applique is so beautiful and creative! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back working on your LE again Angie such lovely colours I think I will be back working on mine later in the year when its cooler, as mine is mostly silks I can not work on it when temps and humidity are so high. Cheers Glenda OZ
