Hello, there. I looked at my quilts for 2023 and see I made 21 quilts and an ironing board cover last year. Most of them for St. Anne's. Here they are:
2023 in Review
New for 2024
My first finish for 2024:
I finished quilting it and bound it. Another baby quilt for our St. Anne's Sewdality group. It's an all scrappy creation. Did FMQ work on it as well as line work with my walking foot. The B in the center was done with freezer paper. Flannel back. What are you up to? Leave me a comment and I'll visit your blog and reciprocate. I'm linking to Design Wall Monday. Take a look at the wonderful work posted there.
A Third Flimsy
Got to make another flimsy. I have to keep up with the ladies that need them to finish a quilt. Otherwise I am quilting two others I have made. Still using swap blocks for a quick finish.
What are you up to? Leave me a comment and I'll go to your blog and reply.
Blessings!
Two Flimsies
Here are two more flimsies I've recently made. Why do I make flimsies? I belong to a church group that makes quilts for low income, first time mothers. Some of my sister members have a hard time getting past making blocks and so I help out by making them a top that they can then sandwich, quilt, and bind. This gives them something to present during our Show and Share part of our meetings. Besides, I love to design and make blocks to turn into tops. Although I like all aspects of putting a quilt together, the making of the tops is my favorite.
Here are the two I've finished recently:
36" square, made from blocks I acquired in block swaps about 5 years ago.
This one is already finished. Took pages of a fabric book and made a Winnie the Pooh quilt - also 36" square.
What are you up to?? Leave me a comment and I'll visit and reciprocate. Blessings!
Another Flimsy
Another flimsy for St. Anne's :
Made from scraps. Measures 36 x 36. What are you up to? Leave a comment and I'll reciprocate. Blessings!
Something Other than Quilts
Sometimes I need a break. And then I read or make a puzzle. Lately, I worked on a puzzle. In a way it was quilt related as it was titled Common Quilt Block Patterns. At a 1000 pieces it was fun and challenging to do. I was amazed how varied and striking these common blocks turned out. How many can you name?
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
