Table Scraps #3

What with two sets of out of state visitors, not much quilting got done.  But I did work on our yellow challenge for the month. The top is almost done.  This will be a table topper. And it does have flowers.

More on this later. April should be better.  Also I did finish the February placemat. It is now bound and quilted. You can read about it in my February post for Table Scraps Challenge.

Look forward to visiting you and seeing your creations.

Table Scaps#2

Not quite finished with my next project in the Joyful Quilter's Table Scraps Challenge for 2022. It asked for us to use aqua and teal scraps for the February creation. Trouble is this is way out of my comfort zone. I even had to ask my hubby to evaluate the few scraps I thought might  work. Here's as far as I've gotten:

Are some of these aqua or teal?  More later. Linking to Joyful Quilter's blog.

Table Scraps #1

I decided to join Joyful Quilter's Table Scraps Challenge this year.  Anything to get rid of scraps! What is required is that you make a small item each month using any scraps you find on your table.  Each month we're given a prompt to help us choose what we're going to do (that's optional).  I went with the prompt which was snowman (and the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is red) - I had scraps from a back I made for a charity quilt. Here's what I came up with:

I went simple and cut a 6.5" by 6.5" of the red colorway of this snowman fabric. I quilted it by following the black lines around the figures. Then I bound it with some leftover blue binding from another quilt.  That blue matched the backing which was the blue colorway of the snowman quilt.

I now have my first Christmas gift done for this coming 2022 holiday. Woohoo!  Whoever gets it can use it as a mug rug, tiny table topper, wall hanging, pot holder, trivet - whatever they want. Thank you, Joyful Quilter!  This is going to be a fun, fast way to making Christmas gifts in time to actually give them away.  Want to join along? Click on the link at the beginning of this post to learn more and see all the goodies others have made. PS - you don't need to have a blog to join. Off to see what the next prompt is.  PPS:  here's the back I made for that charity quilt:

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
