I decided to join Joyful Quilter's Table Scraps Challenge this year. Anything to get rid of scraps! What is required is that you make a small item each month using any scraps you find on your table. Each month we're given a prompt to help us choose what we're going to do (that's optional). I went with the prompt which was snowman (and the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is red) - I had scraps from a back I made for a charity quilt. Here's what I came up with:
I went simple and cut a 6.5" by 6.5" of the red colorway of this snowman fabric. I quilted it by following the black lines around the figures. Then I bound it with some leftover blue binding from another quilt. That blue matched the backing which was the blue colorway of the snowman quilt.
Simple is oh-SNOW-good!!! :o))
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the January 2022 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge! I'm glad that you have found a way to use it to prepare for this year's gift giving season. SEW smart!
Really sweet. I love that fabric!
ReplyDeleteThat's such cute snowman fabric, it was worth using on both sides! I'd be happy to get that as a Christmas gift. You can never have enough little mug rugs!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of creating your gifts each month! Those snowmen are adorable - the little one and the big charity quilt. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYour snowman mug rugs are so cute! The way you quilted around the snowmen really makes them stand out!
