SAHRR

What is a SAHRR?  Turns out it's a Stay at Home Round Robin.  And I've decided to play along.  You can find out about it here .

It's just started really. The first week we had to pick our center block. This week we added the first border.  You can catch up easily.  Here's part of my first border. I'm adding to it.

It really is square - 12 1/2".  And mine is not a pieced square - more like a panel. The first suggestion was to add piano keys, but mine was asking for something else.  I tried piano keys but they didn't look right. I'm working on different version of PKs now  What are you working on?

A Recap of Quilting Endeavors in 2020

Despite COVID, its stress and restrictions, I worked on 13 projects this past year.  Twelve tops got done.  Of those 12, eight got to the completely finished stage or sent where directed. Captions talk about each one.

Two charm packs from Lois made this baby quilt top.

No Greater Love - Lenten quilt - faced instead of bound.

UFO from 2010 Stars and Stripes Sampler. Pattern by Fons & Porter

Arrow Rock Sampler. Pattern by Shelly Pagliai of Prairie Moon Quilts. Finished week after Christmas.

And the one I wanted to finish but didn't have time (not a good photo - too dark) - only 8 hexies to go!  I have to decide on a background. What color do you suggest?

Linking to Oh Scrap! and Confessions of a Fabric Addict.  What are you quilting?  I'll be quilting these leftover tops from 2020.  Plus started others, of course.  LOL

God's Blessings in the coming New Year!
And one I forgot!  Quilt with fat quarter Guild gave us. Queen size.

This and That - Dec 27, 2020

Christmas was a nice and quiet day.  As we are in Tier 4 here in California, we're suppose to stay home. Frankly, after the frenzy of Thanksgiving, I was looking forward to a more relaxing day.  I miss the family of course, but we kept in touch.

I'm happy to report I finished one of the quilt alongs.

I made mine 1/2 the given size.  Instead of 84 by 96 inches, it is 42" by 48".  I'll be using it as a wall hanging in my living room - probably in May when the actual Arrow Rock Quilt camp happens.

On the second quilt along - I have now finished 12 of the remaining 24 that it needed before I can call it done. This is where I'm doing my hand stitching. Frankly, I lost count of where I was in the % of time stitching. If I have to guess it would be at about 75% because I know the week after Thanksgiving was bad. And the time before Christmas wasn't any better.

It would be nice if I could finish it in the remaining days of 2020. Then I can start off fresh in the New Year.

I'm linking to Oh, Scrap!, and 15 Minutes to Stitch.  What have you been up to?

October Doings

October is behind us.  Does that put us in the Winter months?  I think it does. The skies have been foggy in the mornings - a thick fog that...
