Christmas was a nice and quiet day. As we are in Tier 4 here in California, we're suppose to stay home. Frankly, after the frenzy of Thanksgiving, I was looking forward to a more relaxing day. I miss the family of course, but we kept in touch.
I'm happy to report I finished one of the quilt alongs.
I made mine 1/2 the given size. Instead of 84 by 96 inches, it is 42" by 48". I'll be using it as a wall hanging in my living room - probably in May when the actual Arrow Rock Quilt camp happens.
On the second quilt along - I have now finished 12 of the remaining 24 that it needed before I can call it done. This is where I'm doing my hand stitching. Frankly, I lost count of where I was in the % of time stitching. If I have to guess it would be at about 75% because I know the week after Thanksgiving was bad. And the time before Christmas wasn't any better.
I'm linking to Oh, Scrap!, and 15 Minutes to Stitch. What have you been up to?
Congrats on your quilt along finish! It's a really fun quilt. Hope you can get in lots of stitching time this week. Some weeks, especially around the holidays, it is really hard to keep up with stitching time. Have a very happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThe first is my favorite, but all your work is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour Arrow Rock Sampler is wonderful! I'm still so amazed that you made it downsized!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Angie. Your finish is great and I love your curved hexies you’re working with it’ll be a stunner.
