Some of This; Some of That 9/7/20

Played with fabric every day for at least 15 minutes - 100% for 15 Minutes to Stitch

Made blocks for the sampler and the hexi project using 0.25 yd bringing me to a YTD total of 34.05 yds

So here are the photos:

The Hexi project (check previous posts for info on the QAL):

I've added the flower on the left and then I started on the latest section with the two dark blue and yellow hexies you see here.  Again it took me forever to decide on the fabrics.  Now I only have to make 10 more during this week to be caught up - hahahahaha.

The other project I worked on was the sampler. I realized as I was lamenting how far behind I am that I actually have all the pieces for row one. To make me feel better, I put that row together.  Ahhhh.

Why did I start two projects at the same time??  Just crazy I guess - I'm going to blame COVID for it.

So this is what my design wall looks like:

Some of This; Some of That 8/30/20

Not much growth on the destashing this week.  Just finished up some blocks for my two WIPs I started not long ago.  I only used 0.17 yd of scraps to complete two blocks for the Arrow Block sampler and prep the next hexagon for the Hexie Love Studio Quilt Along. That gives me a YTD total of 33.80 yards.

Here are the blocks for the Arrow Rock Sampler on my Design Floor:

From Part one
From Part Two

and then the HLSQAL

Have got three assembled and have four to sew on to complete the next unit. That will be my hand stitching for this evening. And here is how it looks so far with last week's work added to the right of center:

Ugh, why can't I get a focused photo?  The new ring will go on the left.  I'm not as far behind as I was last week.  I'm Seriously behind on the Arrow Rock Sampler!

Some of This; Some of That - 8/23/20

Well, I finished my UFO!  After 10 years, it is now done.  used 0.31 yds to bind it.  This is a wall hanging from the Fons & Porter's Stars and Stripes Sampler book printed in 2001.  Judy Laquidara started a quilt along in 2012 which I joined.  All the fabric is from my stash and it took out 2.92 yds. Measures 44 x 50 inches.

Also that new quilt I hinted at is now finished (can't show it yet) and quilted.  Need to bind it.  Now that those two are out of the way, I'll be able to move right along with my two new projects I started earlier this year.  For the Arrow Rock Sampler, I am seriously behind, but I should be able to remedy that this coming week.  These are part of Month Two and we are on Month Four as of the 20th.

I'm a not as far behind on the Curved Hexie Quilt Along.  That is weekly.  I was able to get week 3 at least ready for hand stitching starting today.  That's what I'll do this evening.  Took me forever to pick fabrics for it from my stash.  Between these two projects I used up 0.14 yd.  This gives me a YTD total of 33.63 yards!

Lastly, I did at least 15 minutes everyday this week, so my score this week is 100% - first time this year!

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
