It's Gwennie Inspired Time!

The third round of the Gwennie Inspired Medallion QAL was log cabins.
I chose to make the medallion be the center of a log cabin. It looks mild compared to the colorful others, but that's what came to me when I went to do this.  You can see the colorful and creative others here.  Next round is stars!

Design Wall Monday & BOMs Away

I got those final two star and stripes blocks done and came up with this medallion.  Here it is on my design wall:
The QOV ladies asked for 10" or 12" blocks.  This is 20" square, so will do for 4 blocks.  Hope they can use it.  I can see it in the middle of a 60" square QOV quilt with various RWB blocks around it. Next time I go to a guild meeting I"ll give it to the coordinator.

I'm linking to Judy's Design Wall Monday and Lyn's BOMs Away.  Linky for hexagons still open.
Are you able to work in this heat?

Slow Sunday Stitching and This and That

Going to hand quilt another motif on my ancient WIP.  And coming off my DW is another baby top.
The children's art work is the last set of four from our 2015 festival booth.  This top will now go to another St. Anne's member to sandwich and tie.

This past week I used 1/2 yard from my stash to use on the above quilt.  I made another SS block so there's 0.03 of a yard plus the 1/4 yard for the wall hanging.  Also found another yard to donate. New YTD total for de-stashing: 38.84  yards.  A little closer to 50 yds - my half way point.  At least I'm not buying.

Win some hexagon papers. Linky still open. See sidebar.  I'm linking to Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching.  See the tab for linky parties above.

Blessings - hope you can stay cool this week as they say the entire contiguous US will be hot. Sigh.

Before the New Year

As this is the next to the last day of 2025, I thought I'd report on the month of December now. Not to do with quilting, but still a mil...
