It's a Finish!

My SIL, Arlene, was here for two weeks.  Not a whole lot of quilting was done - too busy visiting and hanging out together.  But we did manage to make a quilt for my niece, her granddaughter, Nadine.  We did the fast (about 6 hours) tube quilt method - from picking fabric to assembling it, to done.  I didn't have a flannel large enough for the backing,  so off we went to Jo-Ann's .  Arlene found a darling kitty fabric to use for it.  Nadine loves kitty, so it was perfect.  We bound it in a nice light purple. Those are two of her favorite colors - pink and purple.

She nine year's old, so this 42 by 56" lap quilt should work for a while. I'm linking to Amanda Jean's Finish it Up Friday. Do go and see all the fun, beautiful, and amazing things there.

Hexie Friday Again!

Where did the week go?  Life is flashing by, but I actually got some hexies made.  Here is my third block for my hexie project:
It's laid out but not stitched yet.  And I have 7 of the next flower prepped - woohoo!  I've only made 178 hexies - feels like a lot - LOL.  I know some of you have made a gazillion more! Won't you share your eye candy.  Even if it isn't hexies - Billie and I would love to see it.  Linky below.  Closes Halloween, Midnight.

Applique Tuesday is back

Had a wonderful visit from my sister-in-law, Arlene, but now she's home and I have gotten back to quilting.  Not back to LE yet because I have to make a quiltlet for our Guild's Holiday Exchange.  Here's what I've done so far - bet you can guess what I'm making:
It will all be applique except for the border.  What are you working on, applique or otherwise?  Please link and share your eye candy to help me get back in the quilting groove.

I'm linking to Esther's WOW and Connie's Linky Party Tuesday. Go on over and see the lovelies they have there.

Progrees is Made

Progress is made, at least some.  More blocks were added to the baby quilt I was working on (see previous post). More scraps were used. I...
