Have only scrap use to show for this past week - 3/4 yards to be more specific. Can't count the charity quilt blocks as I counted those when I cut them. So my numbers are:
Used/Donated this week: .75 yards
Used/Donated Yr to date: 91.38yards
Added this wk: 0.0 yards
Total Yr to date Added: -12 yards
-----------------------------------------
Total Yr to date Used: 79.38 yards
I'm working on a quilt I hope to have at least the top done by Tuesday - that has taken all my quilting time. I'll show it once I get to that point.
Have you been destashing. Let us know how you did. Visit Judy at Patchworktimes on my left sidebar.
Have a quilty week!
Favorite Things Friday 10/14/11
Flowers are one of my favorite things. They are such a point of grace and peacefullness. They center me. Now is not the season for profuse displays of flowers as in Spring. But I find spots of color in the yard that bring a moment of calm never the less. From bougainvillea, allysum, kalenchoe, to rose - all in the fall display.

Now this one gave me pause and a flash of awe. Is that not a strange flower? I love my husband's collection for all the
blooms cacti and succulents display. This one is a succulent Ceropegia. Looks like it would be right at home on the planet Pandora, but actually can be found in the Canary Islands, Africa, Madagascar, Arabia, India, Ceylon, China, Indonesia, Phillipines,
New Guinea and Queensland, Australia.

Applique Thursdays 10/13/11
Sorry for the delay, but I just got home from two days of round the clock meetings, events, babysitting and helping mom with legal matter. I feel as if I've been run over by a cement truck. I wanted to do it Tuesday night but never had a chance with getting ready for Wednesday. So here is my completed owl and the linky button. I was going to use invisible thread, but never had a chance to go to JoAnn's and buy some. My mom said - it is so colorful, go ahead and use several threads, and so I did. I almost got into trouble as I squared up the block to 8 1/2" before I appliqued it. Fortunately, the stitching didn't make it smaller this time. Pheww!I hope you all still feel like sharing. Would love to see your present, past or future ideas for applique.
