First December Wips Be Gone

My monochromatic (out of one scrap bag) is finished.
All piecing was done on my 1902 Singer treadle machine.  It was fun.  My next project with it is Bonnie's mystery.  I'm doing a smaller version. What will be our next unit?
Making these four patches made me realize I've very few neutrals. As a consequence I used the back side of some lighter prints.  I see shopping first thing in 2017.

When I wasn't using the Singer, Ms Juki was humming along with me on the commission quilt.  I'm working on the sky right now.
May just add a few more lines radiating from the star.  The curlicues around the center are done.

What are you up to? Making anything for Christmas gifts or decorating?  I'd love to see your work. Linky below or leave me a comment and I'll come by and see.  Blessings to you and yours,

I'm linking to TGIFF - this week at Devoted Quilter  plus other Friday linky parties - see tab above.

  1. The monochrome baby quilt is lovely in it's simplicity. I tend to get carried away and add too many colours to my quilts. I have a nativity panel to quilt too - are you doing fmq or using a walking foot?

  2. Love the monochrome quilt. Sometimes things just look so amazing in the simplest forms. The nativity scene is amazing! Brilliant quilting!

  3. I like the idea of monochromatic - I have a singer treadle that I adore. I think it is not as old as yours

  4. The monochromatic quilt is so pretty! I have a 1923 treadle machine, but she's missing a couple of parts. I keep saying I'm going to get her functional, but it keeps getting put off. One of these days, because I'd love to actually use her to sew.

  7. Your monochromatic turned out great. Not where I thought you were going. LOL Love the neutrals you invented. Blocks look great. You must be getting pretty comfortable with that treadle. Lucky you! I have done nothing to post, sadly. 'cause I've pretty much done nothing for a month!

  8. Very nice! Thanks for linking up to Finished or Not Friday. I'm skipping out on the Bonnie Hunter Mystery QAL this year and am sad as I see everyone's progress, but it's the right decision for me. Happy quilting!

All Comes to A Halt

Sighhhh....  While I was quilting I  ran my finger, somehow, under the needle. Went right through my left index fingernail right through to...
