Have been hand stitching and added a round of hexies to my new project:
It's now has a diameter of about 8". I'm linking to Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching - have some more hexies prepped and ready to sew the next noodle. I'm also going to link to Judy's Stash Report.
What are you up to? Leave me a comment and I'll come by. The hip is progressing. Today I went to an Anointing of the Sick mass. It was good to be out after a month being home. I was way tired by the time we got home. It reminded me I have a ways to go to normal.
Blessings.
Recovery always seems to take longer than we think doesn't it. I look back and think, yes I wasn't my old self all that time.
ReplyDeleteI am piecing hexies today. My darling hsuband has offered to cook dinner, so I can sew all day!
That tiny heart in the center is so sweet!
ReplyDeletetakes a while to get over surgery, my hubby had surgery in August and is still not back to normal , they say it takes a year
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet hexie block Angie. Loving the colors. Have a good hexie day.
ReplyDeleteGreat stash reduction! Hang in there, Angie, and don't overdo.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a hexie kind of gal...I did try with a workshop in September. I will finish a "very" small version of Patches of the Crosses. No more after that. I like what you have going with your start. Funny how the horses legs show in the hexies. Nice to hear you are able to get out of the house. Sandi
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your fabric usage! Recuperating takes time though it is nice to get out for a bit.
ReplyDeletegood to read the hip is better and you have been out, just do not rush things.Hexies are a good way to sit down and relax whist ou are recovering
ReplyDeleteSlow stitching is perfect for healing... relax and stitch and heal :)
ReplyDeleteSlow Sunday Stitching and Judy's Stash Report both sound like things I should check out.
ReplyDeleteI need to work on finishing current projects and stop starting new ones.....then take a real look at what I can make with all of that fabric and such that is in my craft room!
I hope you were anointed, because you sound still in pain, too. That's a very attractive hexagon. I laughed at your .01 stash use. You look like you might break 100!
ReplyDeleteOh I love hexies so this block is just perfect!
