Design Wall Monday

Early this morning, I actually pulled up the covers over myself - yeah, the hot spell has broken!  I am so relieved.  I don't know how long it will last, but I'm enjoying every minute of coolness for now - it's only 79 degrees in the house right now!

I decided to do a little straightening in the sewing area.  So now on my design wall is this pile of scraps.  It's time to deal with some of them.

Three hours later (after a couple of cool down/water stops) I'd produced these:

four small units that measure only 9" by 10" when put together.  Designing fabric is much harder than one thinks! Maybe I'll give the rest of those scraps away - this is taking too much time away from applique.  Stay tuned. I should have decided by Friday.

What's on your design wall?  I'm linking to Judy's wall at Patchwork Times and Lyn's BOMs Away.  See you there.

  3. Hehe :) Scrap play doesn't float everyone's boat. It's something that I'm sure I would like, but have tried only once and need some time to get the knack of.

  4. Great layout - I am liking the touch of orange. We are still very humid here in Vegas - should be better in a couple weeks:-)

  5. LOL, those scraps look awesome in that block. But I know what you mean. We save all those scraps and it takes so long to use them!! 79 is not very cool in these parts. I hope it cools off to a normal temp very soon for you.

  7. LOL! I imagine making your own scrappy fabric is similar to making crumb blocks. The crumb blocks did not work for me. I just fiddle too much and that eats away tons of time.

Thank you for stopping by. It's always nice to hear from you. I try to reply to each and every one of you, but sometimes life gets in the way. I hope you understand. Blessings.

All Comes to A Halt

Sighhhh....  While I was quilting I  ran my finger, somehow, under the needle. Went right through my left index fingernail right through to...
