WIP Wednesday 8/10/11

I have some progress on my coverlet.  I tried several things but nothing worked.  Then I remembered that large bag  I have stuffed with nine-patches - so here is the coverlet with a new round added. Don't know why two of the squares look so dark (they aren't - camera operator error, I guess).  What do you think?

  1. I think the new block border was a great addition. The colors and scrappiness are perfect!

  3. I think it's perfect too. I like it when rounds switch back and forth from piecing to applique and each rounds have elements of their previous rounds.

  4. First of all let me say that I'm not a fan of scrappy. Yes, I admit it...Hello, my name is Bonni and I'm prejudice against scrappy looking quilts. THAT being said, this looks GREAT!

You pulled in all the colors nicely. You've interrupted the scrappy with the great applique. It is a nicely well balanced quilt.

Well done and if you keep it up I might have to change my mind about scrappies.

  9. Angie, it's gorgeous! It was pretty before, but the nine patches really show off the center! Wonderful application of a great idea. Can't wait to see what's next.
