What do you think of these? I joined the Inland Valley Modern Quilt Guild and am challenging myself to try to go out of my "comfort range"in fabric selection and see if I can make a Mod Quilt.
These are fat quarters I won online. Are they modern enough? I'll put them up on my design wall so I can think about what pattern to use. And in the meantime, I've ordered a solid and am going to try my hand at it.

ReplyDeleteI don't know what modern fabric is :-) I figure if it's on the shelf...it's new and modern....I am such a smart alec sometimes..lol
No idea what "modern" is, I usually make quilts out of fabric I like, fabric that appeals to me. I know it is not easy to walk out of the comfort zone... I did that with a layer cake and jelly roll (hello Betty). It's not finished, and I'm still not sure I like it..... We learn something from trying new colors too, don't we. Wishing you good luck with your project! I'm sure you'll turn it into something great!
