Nearing the Finish

Nearing the finish of my SAHRR.  I've decided to  use my creative license to interpret the rounds. So here goes.  I made round 4 as suggested but then I decided that round 5 which was two colors was for me two fabrics. It now measures 36" by 38".

So here it is:

Now to round 6! I'm linking to Design Wall Monday.  See you there.

Blessings to you all,

I'm So Behind!

I'm so behind with my SAHRR. I've finally finished Round 3 today. I opted for the cornerstones to highlight the animal block I chose - duck's foot as the State of Hawaii bird is a Nene goose. Here it is:

Off to work on round 4. It's a good thing that we've got till March 25th for the parade of quilts.

And Round #3!

The prompt was an animal block. I looked and looked but came up with nada, zilch that I wanted to make.  Then I thought of the state bird of Hawaii - the Nene - and I found one called Duck's Foot. Perfect. BUT do I want to make the full block or a partial duck foot. Got to think about that. In the mean time, I'm concerned about the round #2. It just doesn't look finished to me. So I added another border around it. Here's what it looks like now:

I'm going to make a couple of duck's foot blocks and play around with it to see what I want to do.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm linking to Design Wall Monday. See you there! Blessings,
