It's been over a month since I last posted. Not because I haven't been sewing, but just life got too complicated and I could just barely cope. So much to do in November. All good things. Yet, they leave me feeling relieved they are over instead of happy of the new memories we've made. Will try to do better next year - either streamline the events, let others take some over - something like that. Here's a little sample of what I was doing in November:
I have been working on those two quilt-alongs that are now over, but I've not finished. First, the sampler.
I finished the third row of the Arrow Rock Sampler - just one more row to go. Here it is:

Then there's my Curved Hexie Stitch-Along quilt: I'm working on part 12 - the last part! Here's where I was (not stitched down) before Thanksgiving:
The polka dot blue and white stood out so much, thought I'd have to change it. Then the light bulb went on. I realized those two still had the templates behind them. Once I took them off they didn't stand out so much. The 1/8 parts of part 12 turned out
So I left it. It's going to be a wall hanging when I'm done.
We had an outdoor Thanksgiving dinner - safely distanced and with masks on when we weren't eating, and there was only 8 of us. DS#2 made the turkey. It was perfectly delicious. This year instead of making the sweet potatoes on the stovetop, I roasted them, and they were a big hit.
And finally at the end of the month, we celebrated our 52nd Wedding Anniversary.
The gold candle is 50 years, and the white ones are a year. This was an Italian Creme Cake with pecans. My favorite and I was so lucky to find a half cake - just right for the two of us and the freezer.
