I started this wall hanging at the last retreat. I'm at the quilting and binding stage. I was going to outline the letters, but didn't like the look so stitched along the red edge and going to make a curlique pattern in the border and call it done for the quilting part. I'm thinking of repeating the red for the binding. Will measure 13" square.
What are you up to? Have you made some progress on anything (actually haven't we all made progress in life as we are a week older)? Link up and show me. Someone will win some 3/4" hexagons - enough to make 15 flowers or whatever you want. Linky below - open 'til Thursday, midnight. I'm linking to several parties. You can see them in the linky tab in the header. Blessings. Stay cool this weekend. Looks like the whole country will be hot.

That's so lovely Angie. It will be great on a wall.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie ! We haven't sewn anything in the past six months ( unfortunately), but we're hoping to start a new project this autumn. We love your wall hanging, which is so darling and cheery ! What a lovely sentiment, and so very true. Quilting is a wonderful way to make friendships. Blessings, from Marina and Daryl Lynn :-)
ReplyDeleteI have made progress! I finally finished a UFO, which was really a WIP because I couldn't finish it until I found just the right backing, so it wasn't just some forgotten flimsie in the bottom of the closet. Loving your Wallhanging! It's right on! Have a great weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use this block as a wallhanging... it's one of my favourites!
ReplyDeleteJust love that homily. Lovely stitching, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the red border. I think that will really show this piece off. I have made some progress on my large cross-stitch.
