This is a Blue Star Service banner wall hanging I made for one of our friends. At one time she had 3 sons in the Army, and one in the Navy (she has six sons). Now there is one - he's a Colonel and a Doctor still in service to his country. Go over to Amy's Festival and feast your eyes on all the beautiful quilts on display. Oh my goodness.. I so need to make this! My son just joined the Navy. Did you buy the pattern, or make it up yourself? I love it.. LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteI love this banner! We just had a speaker at our guild who lectured on WW2 quilting and quilts and she featured some great banners. I recognized yours for what it was right off! :)
