Design Wall Monday 5/31

I worked a little bit on my scrappy dresden and it's back on the wall again.  I'm sure you can guess what comes next.  First one to leave a comment and guess right, gets a bag of scraps sent to them - LOL!

  5. Are you going to make a pillow or apron out
    of it?

  6. A good idea, Sherry, but I"m going to add to this until I have cover the whole backing and it's about 40 x 60 - so a lap quilt it's gonna be.

  7. Hmmm ... so I think you might add a bit of applique to it?

  8. You are right! Applique it is. I was going through my scrap boxes (yes in plural) and found some bias stems I had made for another quilt and a few leaves and then decided it would be applique. I then had to find some white and in another box found some 4 1/2" strips I had used in another project, so I had my background. Now to plan how to do it!
I'll be sending you your scraps as soon as I hear back from you privately.

    Thanks to all for guessing!

  9. Very pretty dresden. I love them! Bet that viney border will be pretty. Are you quilting as you go? Will have to go back and read!

  10. It's gorgeous as it is, but I'm sure it'll look even more gorgeous with some applique. Love the colors! Is the dresden plate appliqued to the white background? Dresden plate is on my bucket list to do. :)
