Not to do with quilting, but still a milestone, hubby and I celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary. How did we celebrate it? Hubby asked me a question that required me to look at the calendar to answer. And there it was: Happy Anniversary! 57
We looked at each other with shock. Then he got up from the dinner table and gave me a kiss which led to our wishing a H A to each other. Then we got on with dinner. That was our celebration. Here's a photo of the two of us a long while ago. Look the same, but grayer.
On to the quilty stuff:
Spent much of the little time I had for non-"Christmasy" things working on a UFO from 11 years ago. I finally got all the applique done by finishing the upper right bouquet. There was nothing there to begin with. Now to embroider the berries on three of the bouquets. This is the center of Love Entwined by Esther Aliu.
I also quilted one of the baby flimsies I had around for a while. I finally bought myself a Janome Even Feed foot (aka as a walking foot) for my Juki. I'd had it with the trouble I had with the Juki walking foot not being able to see my stitch in the ditch on the left side. The Janome worked beautifully. Here is the baby quilt sans binding. Plus some shots of my FMQ (although not very exciting besides my walking foot passes).
I'm linking to Monday's Musings, a fine linky party, see you there. And Happy New Year!!
