Well, what did I do for July? Welll, not much in the finishing department.
But I worked on a few things.
Firstly, I worked on my baby quilt that I seem to have forever been at it. I'm quilting it now. Got all the grid work done, and now adding wreaths to the center blocks.
I'm using freezer paper to quilt them. I cut out the wreath and cut between the blades to make it easier to remove the paper. You can't see the cuts but they are there. I go over the top edge of the first blade then go down towards the circle then back up and continue this way until I'm back at the first one I've done. Then I go down the last blade and do the circle.
Next, I saw a different friendship star (I think it was on Facebook) and wanted to try it. This is what I came up with using partial seams to construct it.
Thirdly, I made the next round of our groups sew along. They just had to make 4 blocks with their scrappy fabrics and their background. Each one is 6 1/2" square.
I'll close with a Facebook photo of a wonderful quilt. It was shared by the Mystery 50 group which I've joined to do their first mystery. It was fun.
What have you been up to? Leave a comment and I'll go see your post and say hi. I'm linking to Design Wall Monday since most of these are on my wall. Visit and see all the lovely quilts being posted. Blessings,
