A Finish

I have a finish that comes 19 years after its start. My dear 13 year-old niece came for a week visit and we decided to make a quilt. I made the blocks and let her design the quilt.  It was mostly blue and yellow as they were her favorite colors then.  We finished the quilt and she left it with me to quilt. Nineteen years ago I was a very beginner quilter and I didn't have money to have it long armed. So it sat.

Spurred on by my joining Dive into UFOs in 2025 (on Facebook) and sponsored by( crazymoosefabrics.com on web and Facebook), I finally got back to it.

And some of the quilting:

I'm giving it to her for her birthday which is coming up soon.

What are you up to? Leave me a comment and I'll visit your blog and have a look at your doings. I'm leaving this post at Monday Musings. Have a look at others fine work. Blessings,

Sum of September

Summing up September I did finish that baby quilt where I was making wreaths, started on another quilt and finished 2 flimsies.

1) Here's the baby quilt I finished:

and the back:

Cute flannel .

2) I finished my sew-along flimsy:

This is my use of scraps for now.

Here's the baby quilt I've started. I added another row:

And lastly a flimsy for a raffle opportunity we're going to launch:

Measures 54" x54". Was a Cloth World/JoAnn Block of the Month kit.  We did a part of it.

That's it for me. What have you been up to?  Leave me a comment and I'll visit your blog and catch up. I'm sharing with Cynthia on her Oh Scraps' linky party.  And Design Wall Monday, Check it out. Blessings,

Report for August

Had a bit of success - bit of quilting that is.

Finally finished the quilting on this baby quilt. Used straight line, circles, outlining and more.

Here's the back where you can see more of the quilting.

Then I did my project for my UFO Challenge for Diving into our UFOs.

My challenge was to take an old box of 3 1/2" blocks and make something out of them. Way too many to use but I came up with this 100 block flimsy  which I quilted and bound as a St. Anne's baby quilt.

I used a sweet little elephant flannel for the back.

That's it for me this month. Lots going on here with care giving my mom, looking after hubby - i.e. making dinners, and water aerobics, etc, etc.

I'm linking to Design Wall Mondays. See you there. Blessings,
