First off, I want to thank all my followers and readers for helping me get to here on Blogland. I so am so grateful for your advice, prayers when needed, help and encouragement you've provided over the years to help me grow in one of the things I love most - quilting! As I scrolled through the 910 posts I've published, I reminisced on what I've been up to in that time. Here are some favorites:
2010 My Bullseye Quilt
2011 My first designed pattern
2012 2nd one I designed and made
2013 Begun my Love Entwined Adventure
Again thank you for all your encouragement and sharing you have done over the years. So to celebrate, let's have a giveaway! Since it's for five years, let's have five winners. This is open to all worldwide. To be eligible, please be sure that I can reach you by having your email available to me. That includes those on blogger. The last two giveaways, I've had to really work to find an email for my winners. This time, sorry, if I can't find it easily, I'm just going to pick a new winner. So, to enter 1. leave me a comment telling me which part of the quilting process you enjoy most - from cutting to binding and all the steps in between - and which of the prizes you are most interested in winning. Another chance is 2. follow me and then tell me how you are doing so or are already a follower. AND 3. link to my Hexie Weekend post (It's the previous one) any eye candy you'd like to share. HW is every Friday. I'll add your link to the comments list considered for the giveaways. Lastly, for those who write a post about this giveaway and include my link, I have a giveaway just for you ( a $25 gift certificate from the Fat Quarter Shop). You're welcome to use any photo on my blog for this post. Once you've made it and placed the link to this post in it, come back here and leave a comment telling me so. I'll go read your post and put your comment in a special pool and let you know you're listed.
So how long should this giveaway run? How about til next Hexie Weekend - that's March 7th. So the giveaways will close on March 6th at midnight. I'll pick the winners and announce them the 7th. Thanks for playing. I'm so glad you have come by and said hello!
So here are the giveaways - hope there's something you'd like to come your way:
1.
Eleven 1/4 yards x WOF - would make a great Christmas quilt that has embroidery blocks |
Two luscious charm packs from Moda |
Two fat quarter friendly patterns and two spools of thread a varigated C&C for Machine quilting and a Robison Anton for piecing |
Three Half yards of fabric |
Every crumb block maker should read this book. A very thorough and interesting take on scraps. |
Congratulations again on five years of posting, sharing, growing, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe part of the process that I'm enjoying the most right now is the free motion quilting. I am not confident enough yet to zip thru and finish my quilts, but I think 2014 will be my break thru year as I have been practicing a lot! I put a bunch of things in boxes about a year ago as a friend was staying at the house for us, just have to uncover them so I can actually have some finishes piling up! Thanks for the chance!
I follow thru Google Friend connect!
ReplyDeleteHi, I recently began following your blog and love your work. I would like to be entered for the give-away (the Charm Packs) please. Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary, long may you continue to create and inspire! Pew52@hotmail.co.uk
ReplyDeleteForgot to say I currently like FMQ and hand quilting best!
ReplyDeleteI posted about your give away on my blog:
ReplyDeletehttp://quiltquest.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-quilting-readers-garden-give-away.html
Any of the giveaways would be wonderful - right now the red and green are jumping out at me though so that would be first choice as I got Liberated Quilting last summer - terrific book!
Thanks for the chance!
I love the freedom that liberated quilting gives us. It lets the creative juices flow, by not restricting our piecing. Congrats on the 5 years.
ReplyDeletethe Moda charm packs would be very happy if they could come and live at my house.
gladyswahl@yahoo.com
I think that I love the piecing part of quilting the most right now. I'm still working on doing more free motion quilting. Thanks for the opportunity and I'd love the book, but all of the prizes look yummy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary! Funny how I didn't even know what a blog was until I started one myself!! I am a GFC follower - amycav at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I guess binding is the favourite part for me - it means it is almost done and I love the quiet hand stitching process. Your giveaway is awesome - I love the look of Gwen's book and the Christmas fabric :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI follow with GFC
I love the binding - I always do mine by hand, it's so therapeutic!
ReplyDeleteI like Gwen's book and the charms best but everything is lovely!
My fave part is piecing the blocks. My fave prize is Gwen Marston's book.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!!! I think that my most favorite part about quilting is the handquilting... it's most relaxing and I love the feel of the quilt with those stitches in. I always love fabric as a prize!!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog via Bloglovin' - thanks for celebrating with so many sweet prizes!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversay! My how time flies, huh? I love your first designed project! If I was lucky enough to win, I'd prefer a fabric prize. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to YOU! All of your designs are very nice but Love Entwined is so happy - love it.. Thanks for the chance to win something - so if lucky - what ever you would choose would be wonderful.

5 Years of Awesomeness!! Congratulations!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all aspects of the quilting process...well now, take that back...I do NOT enjoy the cleaning up process collecting all the loose threads. :) I'm quite interested in the Christmasy bundle the little bear is holding...lovely reds and greens!
Oh, and I follow happily along via GFC! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the part that I like best about quilting is putting the binding on. I'm not great at it but I like it because that means I've actually finished something! LOL. Wow, those are great prizes that you are offering. I'm in a charm pack mode right now so the Moda charm packs are what I would like best. They all are great presents though. Thanks for doing this.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add that I'm already following your blog. It's one of them that I always look forward to reading and seeing come into my mailbox. :)
ReplyDeleteI've just added your link to my blog and talked about your give away. Once again Congrats on the five years of blogging. You inspire us all.
ReplyDeletehttp://bonnis-life.blogspot.com/
5 whole years of blogging! Congrats! I am so glad I found your blog. Not sure how but I did.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog through google friend connect.
I enjoy so many parts of quilting. Picking out the fabric, cutting and sewing. I enjoy the prep work for applique too.
ReplyDeleteTwo things I do not enjoy are making borders and backing.
I even like binding once I finally get those two things done.
I just finished a new post which also includes the news about your anniversary.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to link up my hexie post but the link is not working right. I will try later and let you know when it is done.
I think of myself as a quilting omnivore–I love it all, from the absolute freedom of Liberated quilting to the intricate detail of Esther's Love Entwined (yours is going to become a gorgeous quilt and is probably my favorite among your projects that I love following along). I am on the fence, thinking of beginning a holiday stitchery project–those quarter yards of red and green would be perfect for me!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is imagining that I'll actually finish, lol. I have so many projects in the works and I seem to always get stuck somewhere along the line, but I'm working on that. I am most interested in the charm packs -- I want to make some charm totes this year -- but they are all lovely offers, so thank you for the chance. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 5th Blogiversary. My favorite part of the quilting process is "designing" - I put that in quotes because I usually "design" in EQ7 from a picture or a pattern that I've found or purchased. My second favorite is the sewing, which I find relaxing. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI just added my link to the hexie friday.
ReplyDeletenot sure if I supposed to say which prize i would like but if so i really like the charms or the half yards.
thanks for offering great prizes.
Happy 5th anniversary! Let's see now ... a favorite part of the quilting process ... well, I like most of the steps to making a quilt, designing, piecing, layout, etc. It would be easier to state my least favorite part. Anyway, I have been following your blog for a couple of years now through google. I would be interested in those 3 half yards or even the FQ friendly patterns. Thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteMany many congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI like making the blocks best of all and try to avoid the final quilting part LOL I come up with all manner of excuses but this year, is the year I stop procrastinating and learn to machine quilt!
Im a follower of yours : )
ReplyDeleteI love that bulls Eye Quilt by the way !
ReplyDeleteIve linked up for HW too...........twice oops : )

ReplyDeleteHi Angie, I enjoy cutting the fabric and then binding the quilt as the end is so close at that point. And as for being a winner , it is a toss up between the Christmas 1/4 yard cut and the 5" squares. Both would be great to win.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Happy Anniversary!
Hi again, I follow you by email on blogger, I think. lol
ReplyDeleteSome great prizes. Congratulations on blogging for 5 years. It's fun to go back and see your growth, isn't it? It's hard to say what my favorite part is, but I suspect that it's the quilting - at least it was when I had a long arm! I enjoy every step, though. dezertsuz at gmail

ReplyDeleteMost important of all!! Congratulations on Five Years! I love looking and seeing the progress and changes made:)
ReplyDeleteMy first post got lost I guess. I think for me the part of quilting I like most is the binding. It's because at that point all the other parts about it that I love are all coming together:). Thanks a Happy Anniversary
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of quiltmaking is choosing fabric and making design choices. I think that's why I'm loving Gwen Marston. I think I'd choose Liberated Quiltmaking--I have the second version, but would really like to compare the first.
ReplyDeleteI follow you via email. My second choice would be the charm packs.
ReplyDeleteI love starting new quilts, finding fabrics and piecing. I'd love to have that book, Liberated quiltmaking, that would be perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow you by Blogloving'. I love your blog, and especially all your hexies and Hexie Friday.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and wonderful blog. I too am doing LE. Please enter me in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 5 years. You have beautiful quilts and a lovely blog. I love designing and applique the most, but find hand stitching the binding very relaxing.

ReplyDeletePiecing, I love piecing the best (well, besides fondling fabric!)
Happy blog anniversary! I have two favorite parts of the process. The first is choosing fabrics. I love that liberating sense of possibilities. The second part is putting on the binding. It means I've actually finished. I'd love the Christmassy green and red fabric.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, a huge milestone to reach! I really like the part of picking fabric and trying to figure out what quilt I'm going to make. I'm new, so I'm shaky at piecing and quilting but I rock the binding! I love everything your giving away, but any fabric will do! Thanks. :)
